Your AI Is Only as Good as Your Data — How to Get Ready

Posted by Jordyn Naugle on May 13, 2026 7:04:44 AM

I hear it constantly now. "We want to deploy an AI agent." Great. What data does it have access to?

The answer I usually get back sounds something like this. "Most of it is in e-automate, some policies are in a folder somewhere, our service knowledge is basically with our senior tech who has been here for fifteen years, and the rest is in people's heads."

That is the real problem. Not the AI. The data.

Here is the honest truth about AI agents. They do not create knowledge. They organize and surface it. If your data is scattered, inconsistent, or locked in someone's head, your agent will be scattered, inconsistent, and know nothing useful. You can have the best model on the market and it will still give your customers garbage answers if the underlying data is garbage. This is not a technology problem. It is a documentation problem that has existed for years, and AI is finally making it impossible to ignore.

The starting point is your e-automate data. Before you deploy anything, run these eight processes and fix what they surface: ID20, ID293, ID156, ID305, ID157, ID337, ID759, and ID838.

A pre-flight checklist graphic titled 'AI Data Pre-Flight Checklist' listing eight e-automate housekeeping processes: ID20 Contract Overage Rate Check, ID293 Contract Equipment Not in a Meter Group, ID156 Mark Customers Inactive, ID305 Validate Email Address Fields, ID157 Mark Equipment Records Inactive, ID337 Mark Items Inactive, ID759 Inventory Items with Conflicting Accounts, and ID838 Model and Global Data. Each item includes a plain-English description and an italicized AI impact note explaining how leaving the issue unfixed causes bad agent answers.

These are not edge cases. We see them in the majority of the databases we look at. A few hours fixing what these eight processes surface will save you months of chasing bad AI answers. The full list is at support.ceojuice.com.

If you are a dealer owner or sales VP, it is coming up on the end of the month. You are probably wondering where your numbers are at. Perhaps you don't use eAutomate much so you would ping your CFO. Have you thought about just asking your data? Just go to app.powerbi.com, click Copilot and type or dictate your question.

Imagine going into your largest customer and showing the CEO an AI Agent that they could ask questions of. Show me my most profitable customers, show me my least profitable customer. Show me the products I make the most money on, show me where I'm losing money etc.

Training your new hire AI

Posted by Gary Lavin on Feb 1, 2026 9:18:44 AM

AI Agents are everywhere! If you followed OpenClaw news this week you can get a feel for what is possible. JuiceAIis a CoPilot agent (using large language models under the hood) trained on data we specified, it is designed to be able to answer the vast majority of our support tickets. This means that instead of relying on a general-purpose AI trained on broad public knowledge, we have pointed our agent to a specific dataset that we outlined and control. See here for where this started in 2024.
We think all support, including what our clients provide, will go in this direction!

AGI Update

Posted by Gary Lavin on Oct 20, 2025 12:17:32 PM

It was just August of last year when I wrote my blog on Artificial General Intelligence.
At that time it seemed crazy, at least my family and team thought so. Back then Grok was not even a thing, now we have Grok 4 at the top of the AI charts and yesterday Musk says Grok 5 has more than 10% chance of achieving AGI. He defines AGI as...

What is the difference between AI and AGI and what does that mean for our industry?

Asking Copilot - Can you chat with your data?

Posted by Sarah Fenn on Aug 16, 2025 1:22:33 PM

AI tools are evolving at an exponential rate and making business processes more efficient. We see some clients implement these tools early while some wait. Copilot embeded in Power BI has just arrived! Are you testing it yet? 🤔
The faster these tools evolve the more risk there is in waiting, and your business could become so far behind that it feels impossible to catch up. 🏃‍♀🏃‍♂️

ChatGPT did not exist until November 2022, and Grok came online in March of 2024. In that short time, Grok has already surpassed ChatGPT in many areas. Meanwhile, Siri from Apple, which came out in 2010, is getting leapfrogged by everyone and is becoming irrelevant. Keeping up with the latest AI tech is quickly becoming important for all.

The Copilot integration with Power BI can help with data analysis, generating queries, and creating narrative visuals. It's also integrated with Microsoft Fabric, allowing users to analyze data across different Fabric workloads.

The opportunity & urgency of reselling A.I. Agents

Posted by Gary Lavin on Jan 18, 2025 2:11:23 PM

In the last year all sorts of A.I. "Experts" and companies have come out of the woodwork, so much noise that it is hard to know what to focus on. I just came back from ECS in Scottsdale (great show) where AI was all over the agenda. However, I saw no clear plan for dealers, no when I get back to the office these are the steps. The industry needs a plan around AGI, which I believe is the biggest opportunity this industry has ever had.
Start by reading this very recent blog from Sam Altman at OpenAI, it is lengthy but a must read (excerpt above). ChatGPT did not exist 2 years ago, most of us use it daily now.

The simplest way to think of AI is automation. This is what CEO Juice has always done, our tag is "A.I. for your dealership". Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), sometimes called artificial super intelligence (ASI) is the next phase in the evolution of AI.

AGI is coming fast

Posted by Gary Lavin on Aug 31, 2024 1:40:06 PM

As a dealer principal, do you follow artificial general intelligence (AGI)? Does your dealership have a plan? CEO Juice is planning, I think you should at least be aware. I worried that clients would think I had lost it if I published this blog too soon but today I read about Oprah's new ABC show "AI and the Future of Us" and decided it was time.

I started following AGI when I read Ray Kurzweil's, Age of spiritual machine in 1999 and then The Singularity is near in 2005. While Kurzweil was the 1st to have the vision, Elon Musk was the 1st to have the vision AND enact a plan.

Chat GPT for dealers & your customers

Posted by Gary Lavin on Jan 21, 2024 4:51:23 PM

I am a big fan of Marcus Sheridan's book, They Ask, You Answer, any owner looking to expand marketing should read it.

For our clients getting into marketing I have been saying for years to stop sales reps attaching PDFs in emails to prospects and instead include links to the information. This has several advantages, the sales rep can see who clicks the link and this will help with your CRM adoption. It forces you to document information correctly and you know the rep is passing accurate information.
